The hotel staff were exceptional - friendly, efficient, and professional. The dining room staff were particularly solicitous. The pool was magnificent and spotlessly clean. The private beach across the road was stunning and well-equipped.
Can't think of anything.

Highy recommendable for a relaxing break by the sea. The hotel has its own private beach area and facilities. Indeed the bech in fromt ofhte hotel is among the most beautiful in the Gargano. The hotel is clearly kept to high standards and staff seem to organsie lots of activities.
Compared to the rest of the sevice offered by the hotel, the breakfast is disappointing.

Brilliant hotel, not in Vieste but that's not a problem as the hotel's minibus goes frequently into town. Michele, the bar manager was probably one of the best things about the hotel. He is very friendly and always happy and will recommend great restaurants to visit in town. The beach is very close, very clean and a lot less busier than the beaches nearer to town. The pool is also great at the hotel, it comes with a jacuzzi. We went in the quiet period, mainly Italians and Germans visit the area and stay at the hotel but all the staff speaks some English. There is good entertainment for children that includes lots of dancing and singing in Italian. The only English song we heard was Hockey Cockey. :-) Breakfast is excellent, a lot of variety to choose from. We had only one dinner in the hotel restaurant and that was very good (my partner tried rabbit for the first time). The waiters take their job seriously and are very courteous and polite. The room and the shower are very spacious and there is air-con. The hotel is still very new and modern, we've been told it's 8 years old.
Beware, the wind on the beach can be quite strong and we got burnt on the first day. can't say anything negative about the hotel.

the location of the hotel on the small island was perfect for experiencing the surrounding nature and escaping the dodgy activities taking place in other parts of the coast. Although the rooms were small, they were well-maintained and clean with modern bathrooms and comfortable beds. the hotel staff was pleasant and helpful, and we enjoyed a delicious breakfast each morning.
The elevator was sometimes unresponsive, resulting in long wait times.

Superb service from all staff, especially the two gents manning the dining room who make you feel as if you're at the Ritz. Well maintained pool and beach areas. Quiet, private surroundings, away from the crowds. Fantastic place for a getaway.
Very artificial/chemical tasting fruit juices at breakfast.

The hotel provided clean rooms and a warm pool. It is close to a nice sandy beach, and we enjoyed the shallow water. The staff were welcoming and helpful.
The hotel was not conveniently located for easy access to off-resort restaurants. the elevator was a little slow and required multiple button presses to operate.

The hotel has a great location, away fro the city center but with a nice private beach. You have the hotel shuttle which takes you to the city and back, free of charge. The staff is very friendly and helpfull. The breakfast was also very good, with a good variety.

Staff were friendly. Nice pool. Near Vieste which is beautiful.
Very small room. Above kitchens - noisy. Very noisy everywhere in public areas.

The pool and beach access were the best aspects of our weekend stay. the pool was clean, surrounded by trees, and it made for an excellent place to relax. beach access was easy with free sunbeds and a parasol for our convenience.
The narrow and winding roads leading to the hotel were the worst aspects. It was a scary ride, especially if you're not used to such roads.

Hotel Portonuovo has such pleasant staff and in an area where little English is spoken they go out of their way to help. Rooms are smallish but comfortable and very clean. The biggest selling things are the lovely pool and access to the beach. The town of Vieste is very busy in the summer but the hotel is far enough away from the hustle and bustle of that area. Recommend this for families and couples. A really nice hotel.

We had a wonderful stay at this luxurious hotel. The staff here were exceptional, providing efficient and professional service with a friendly and courteous attitude. The dining room staff were especially attentive. The pool was magnificent, spotlessly clean, and perfect for serious swimmers with its designated lanes. The private beach across the road was stunning and the hotel provided complimentary beach towels, sunbeds, and a sunshade. The sea was warm, clean, and inviting. The breakfast included freshly made crepes and there was plenty of variety in the food served for dinner. We also enjoyed the themed night around the pool, which was not only enjoyable but also great value for money.
This hotel is a great choice, especially for families. The location, although a bit outside the main town, provided a tranquil and peaceful environment away from the bustling crowds.
